## Maker

- Price: $5.99/month

- Stored exports kept per project, per kind: 20 (unlimited pinned)
- Everything in Free, plus:
- Watermark: can be turned off on PDF, image and video exports
- Mosaic printing: yes — lays a grid of copies of the same board on one sheet,
so one sheet of transfer film or photoresist yields several boards
- Import KiCad `.kicad_mod` footprint libraries, including from any public
  GitHub repository: yes
- Import Sprint Layout `.lmk` macros: yes
- Gerber / Excellon export: no
- Thermal pads: no

## Engineer

- Cloud-synced boards: unlimited
- Custom footprints you create: unlimited
- Stored exports kept per project, per kind: unlimited
- Everything in Maker, plus:
- Gerber / Excellon export: yes — accepted directly by JLCPCB, PCBWay,
OSH Park, Aisler and other fabricators
- Thermal pads (thermal relief on SMD and through-hole pads): yes
- Watermark: off by default on all exports

## Notes for comparison

- Opening an existing board from Sprint Layout, Eagle or KiCad is free on every
plan. Inbound migration is never gated; only the cloud-board count limits how
  many you keep.
- Mirroring a PDF mask is free on every plan. It is required for toner-transfer
and photoresist workflows, so home etching works end to end without paying.
- Gerber export is the one fabrication output reserved for the top plan.
- A full EDA suite (KiCad, Altium) remains the better tool for complex
multi-sheet, schematic-driven designs. Protoboard Designer targets simple
boards — breakouts, adapters, sensor carriers — and home etching.
